November 11, 2011 The End of Summer 2011
It has been some time since I logged onto the AllCarCentral.com Blog link to update the what we have been up to, in fact all the summer has gone by.
2011 Ferrari Challenge Laguna Seca There were 2 Ferrari Challenge races in Northern California 2011 season and both were great fun to watch with the new 458 and the 599XX on the track driven with spirit. 
ALM at Lime Rock Park 2011 Our Europen Envoy Zoran Calic, and Ljuba Ivanovic provided us with more of the car culture from the Belgrade area Belgrade area, and ACC’s photographer Daniel Chin was back in business and sent us ALM at Lime Rock Park. 
Goodwood Revival UK 2011 Tim Surman our new photographer in the UK has sent in a full set of images and personal feedback of the outstandingly famous Goodwood events, the Goodwood Revival and Goodwood Festival of Speed. 
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 NASCAR displayed their talents again on the twisting Infineon track doing their thing putting on a great show, throwing out fire on over-run and pushing the car to hard on the tight challenging course sometimes off into the dirt. However the tight Turn 11 seemed to be the place to see the pushing and shoving with some cars ending on top of the tire barrier. Too bad that there is not some actual spectator seating for that turn. 
NASCAR at Infineon 2011 The past difficulties the INDYCAR drivers have had with Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma at Infineon's S/Turn 9A seemed to be resolved with fewer taking the short cut through the dirt. INDYCAR shorten the run-in to the Turn 11 to keep them out of the tires and provide some clear spin-out room. None needed it however. 
Concorso Italiano 2011 We can not over look the overwhelming August week at the Monterey Bay Area in California that host, among others, Concorso Italiano , Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion with Jaguars prowling the paddock and hills, all in a salute to the 50th year of the E Type. 
Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance The 6 hours of ALM at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was a challenge to all in attendance with the cold Monterey evening moving in, but the hot racing was enough for all to stay to see the fireworks as the winner takes the checker flag.

The last race event of the North California season was the 4th gathering of the Rennsport Reunion IV at Laguna Seca. This is sponsored by Porsche Cars North America. And has grown into a very large event. Previous gathering have been at Lime Rock 2001and Daytona 2004 and 2007. This event brings all the history of Porsche racing cars onto the track and is the "One Event" for Porsche fans.
The next events coming on line are the new-car-shows displaying the cars for 2012. We will have the San Francisco International Auto Show to report on.

June, 3, 2011 Hot Camaro SS and Gumballa 3000 in Europe
Close racing in the rain
May and June has been a good start for the summer car events, and I expect that it will only get better as everything gets into full swing. However the rain that had been hanging over California did slow down some people, but the dedicated pressed on.
2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS
We have posted the rain drenched performance test of a lime green 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS with a 6.2L V8 sporting 400 hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. This is not your dads old Camaro, this car rocks.
Gumballa 3000 Belgrade 2011

Serbia also signed in with some events from Belgrade, the most interesting one for me was the Gumballa 3000
as it passed through Belgrade. AllCarCentral covered this event as it ran through San Francisco in August 2008. It is good to see this is still out there showing off it's hot and crazy cars around the world.

Ferrari Challenge Infineon Raceway 2011
For starters, race photographer Tim Surman of Durrington, Wiltshire, GB, has joined us and will send off images and a report on the great Goodwood Festival of Speed coming this June 30 - July 3 2011, held at the Goodwood Estate.

February, 24, 2011 Museum Cars, Stories & a New Member to AllCarCentral
Italdesign Aztec 1988
We have uploaded over 270 images of cars which are or have been on display at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville California. The lighting on the museum floor is not designed for photographing so the images presented on our website are somewhat effected by the spotlights. However the cars are spectacular and a must see for anyone who is a fan of great automotive engineering and design. The Museum rotates many of the cars so return visitors can enjoy many different cars each time. I especially enjoyed the 1998 Italdesign Aztec which was a recent addition. There are several images available of this car.
Ferrari 458 Italia
Northern California's Michael Rockich has joined with AllCarCentral and will entertain and inform us with his thoughts and knowledge through The Michael Rockich Blog which he is authoring. Michael's first blog entry is a primer on the Ferrari Challenge Series. Challenge weekends involve some serious racing that I believe is the most over looked form of racing in the USA. The Challenge series is now running Ferrari's new 458 Italia replacing the now older F430 Challenge car. Ferrari Challenge races are also run in Europe. Check our Calendar for dates and locations.

January 4, 2011 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 & GREAT CARS
I predict that 2011 will be the year of the electric car. Both the Nissan LEAF and the Chevy VOLT has gone main-stream with their US launch in last months of 2010. Renault and Nissan has formed an alliance to provide roadside service in much of Europe for Renault and Nissan electric cars. Renault is launching their electric cars later in 2011.

Hyundia Accent 2010 I ended 2010 and the Christmas holidays with a mixed travel event. We flew to Las Vegas and them drove 100 miles north to St George, Utah. The drive was in a 2010 Hyundia Accent. The drive took us through a marvel of highway engineering, the red rock Gorge of the Virgin River, in the North West corner of Arizona. The only problem with this trip was we entered the gorge just at dark in the worst rain storm of that areas history in the last 5 years. The little Hyundia held its own in the wet and dark, but did present me with a few problems as a result of my minimal time with the car. Road Report Here:
Back in Las Vegas we took-in the Cirque du Soleil production of the Beatles LOVE. I highly recommend this as a must see experience.
